About the Author

I’ve been gaming in some form or other since the mid 1980’s.

I was given a Commodore 64 around 1985 with a copy of Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins and that is to my recollection where it all started. I played that c64 every chance I got, amassing a huge collection of games by the time it was retired.

In 1988 I was introduced to Dungeons & Dragons by a mate at school and that was my gateway into Role Playing Games. Dungeons & Dragons was followed by Shadowrun, and my favorite RPG of all time, West End Games’ d6 Star Wars. I have played many other RPG’s over the years as well, but those three were definitely highlights.

The c64 was replaced by a PC in the early 90’s, with games like Doom, X-Wing, and Diablo making big impressions.

My first experience with miniatures gaming was playing Blood Bowl with my Role Playing group in the early to mid 90’s. We were all into American football, so it was a match made in heaven for us. It was not until later in the 90’s that I finally picked up my first Warhammer figures.

My first games console was acquired when the Sony PlayStation was released, and I have happily spent many hours playing Sony’s consoles since.

I have drifted in and out of the different spheres of my gaming past over the years. Good memories all around. I’m looking forward to many more years of gaming ahead.
